THE STRING QUARTET

represents one of the most enduring yet vulnerable forms of artistic collaboration.

Despite exceptional ability and early recognition, few ensembles are able to sustain artistically bold, long-term careers. Today's environment is inhospitable to small-ensemble music: crushing economics, decreasing attention spans, and increasing mental health pressures make it harder than ever to build a career that lasts. Without intervention, we risk losing both a spiritual counterbalance to modern life and an art form that has historically served as both the proving ground and the most intimate expressive medium for the world's greatest composers. Resonance exists to change that.
